Hamble is centrally located in the Solent, and therefore on the aquatic doorstep of a wealth of towns and villages to visit, including:

  • Southampton – Ocean Village marina is surrounded by a range of restaurants, bars and cinema. The city is a 10 minute walk.
  • Portsmouth – Gunwharf Quays for coffee and shopping or visit the Spinnaker Tower for panoramic views of The Solent.
  • Cowes – the home of yachting and a pretty village to stroll through. From Cowes, places like Osborne House (Queen Victoria’s Island retreat) are also worth considering.
  • Yarmouth – a picturesque village to visit and perhaps lunch at the Michellin starred George Hotel.
  • Lymington – a picturesque village with the Kings Head pub and a bustling High Street.
  • Hamble – a small pretty village well worth a visit including The Bugle a gastro-pub or a small variety of other eateries.
  • The Folly Inn – travel up the Medina River into the heart of the Isle of Wight and visit an infamous yachtsman’s retreat for lunch.
  • Buckler’s Hard and The Master Builder’s House Hotel – on the Beaulieu River
  • The upper reaches of the Hamble River – including the Jolly Sailor pub (of Howard’s Way fame) for lunch

We can finish the charter back at Hamble, or we can drop you off at one of the above places so that you have time to finish exploring.
